Yeshiva University Journal of Medicine and Dentistry

Tani is a senior at Yeshiva College studying Biology, with a passion for research that spans everything from colorectal cancer to the neuroscience of visual memory. He serves as Editor in Chief of the YU Journal of Medicine and Dentistry, a role he loves for the opportunity it gives students to share their scientific work with the broader university community. As Editor in Chief, he spearheads the editorial process, directs the editorial board and writers, and handles layout, graphic design, and website development for the journal. When he's not working on the journal, you'll likely find him in the lab, whether he's doing RNA-seq analyses, setting up experiments, or helping younger students navigate their first time in bio or at the bench as a TA. Following graduation, Tani hopes to pursue an MD-PhD program, where he can continue merging his love of research with his passion for medicine. Beyond the sciences, Tani is a passionate advocate for inclusivity on campus, leading the YU Pride Alliance/Hareni and the Committee on Campus Culture. Outside of school, he keeps busy with cycling, woodworking, piano, and photography.
